Ortho Smiles of Staten Island is Hiring an ORTHODONTIC DENTAL ASSISTANT Near Staten Island, NY

FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about dentistry and patient care.

Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including orthodontic adjustments, appliance placements, and removals
- Take dental x-rays and iTero digital scanning
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Provide support to the front desk by performing dental receptionist duties as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, techniques, and instruments
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population

Please note this is a PART TIME position. Hours are as follows:

Tuesdays 2-7:30PM

Fridays 12-5:30PM

Saturdays 10-2:30PM. Every other Saturday. If it's a holiday weekend office will be closed.
